Testing Halo reports

When a reply contains SQL and you have a HaloPSA integration connected, you can test it against live data without leaving the chat.

Pick a reporting period

The Report Period dropdown sets the time window the report covers. It defaults to the period you chose when Connect your Halo instance; the full list is under available periods below.

Test the report

Test Report runs the SQL against HaloPSA. While it runs the button reads Testing..., then turns green (Success) once the first rows come back.

View the results

The inline preview shows the first five rows with a total count. When there are more than five rows, View all rows opens a table you can read through. Long-running queries return a timeout warning, and SQL errors are fed straight back to ElegantInsights to be resolved..

Create the report

Create Report saves the report to your HaloPSA Instance. Once created, follow View Report to open it in Halo.

All reports are stored in the '🦄 | ElegantInsights Reports' group, which is created automatically when you create your first report.
