The in-chat token bar, usage warnings, and how to raise a chat's limit.

Every conversation has a token budget. A thin bar above the input shows how much of it you've used; it turns amber at 75% and red at 90%.

Per-chat override
A limit set for one specific conversation. Wins if present.
Your global preference
Your default for all chats, from AI settings or the in-chat control.
Default, 120,000 tokens
Used when neither of the above is set.
Raising the limit
Open the token counter to pick a preset or a custom value, choose This chat only or Change globally, acknowledge the note, and confirm. New chats use your global default.
