Managing your subscription

Cancel your subscription, understand scheduled changes, update your payment method, and keep your business and invoice details current.

Last updated on

Once you have an active subscription, the billing area shows its status, your next renewal date, and the controls to manage it. Most changes happen through the Paddle customer portal, which opens in a new tab.

Manage or cancel your subscription

Use the Manage Subscription button on your subscription card to open the Paddle customer portal. From there you can cancel your subscription or update your payment method.

You can also update your payment method directly from the Payment Method section of the subscription card using the Update button.

Scheduled changes and cancellation

When you cancel, your subscription does not stop immediately - it is scheduled to end at the close of your current billing period. While a cancellation is scheduled, the billing area shows:

  • A notice stating the date the subscription is scheduled to be canceled.
  • Auto-renewal marked as Cancelled on the subscription summary.

You keep access until the scheduled date. After a subscription is fully canceled, the billing area shows a notice with the cancellation date, and you can choose a plan again to reactivate access.

Your next renewal date and renewal amount are shown on the subscription card, so you always know when and what you will next be billed.

Business and invoice details

The Business & Invoice Contacts card is where you keep the details that appear on your invoices:

  • Company Name (required to manage invoice contacts)
  • Company Number (optional)
  • Tax Identifier / VAT ID (optional, validated as you type)
  • Invoice Recipients - additional people who should receive invoices, each with a name and email

Edit any field, then use Save All Changes when the unsaved-changes bar appears. You must set a company name before you can add invoice recipients.
