How your monthly token allowance, additional purchased tokens, and reset date work, plus the usage notices you will see as you approach your limit.

Your plan includes a monthly token allowance that powers the chat. The usage overview shows how much you have used, how much remains, and when your allowance resets, so you can keep an eye on your budget.
Monthly allowance vs additional tokens
You draw from two pools, shown separately in the usage overview:
Monthly tokens
Your plan's allowance for the current billing period. Shows used vs limit and how many remain.
Additional tokens
Tokens you have purchased on top. Used after - and on top of - your monthly allowance.
The overview also shows a total tokens available figure, which is your remaining monthly allowance plus any remaining additional tokens.
When your allowance resets
Your monthly allowance refills on your reset date, shown in the usage overview. Used tokens go back to zero for the new period. Additional tokens you have purchased are not tied to this cycle - they remain available until used.
Usage notices
As your monthly usage climbs, ElegantInsights warns you before you run out:
- A notice at 75% of your monthly allowance.
- A stronger notice at 90%.
- At 100%, sending is blocked until you buy additional tokens, or wait for your reset date.
Hitting 100% only blocks new messages - your existing chats and reports stay intact.
