Managing two-factor authentication
Reconfigure or disable the authenticator app on your ElegantInsights account.

Once two-factor authentication (2FA) is enabled, you manage it from the Security & Privacy area of the account page. This page covers reconfiguring and turning it off. To turn 2FA on for the first time, see Sign up & secure your account.
Check your 2FA status
When 2FA is on, the account page shows Two-factor authentication is enabled with two options: Reconfigure MFA and Disable MFA. ElegantInsights uses a time-based one-time password (TOTP) factor from an authenticator app.
Reconfigure your authenticator
Use this if you've switched phones or authenticator apps.
Confirm it's you
Select Reconfigure MFA and enter the current 6-digit code from your existing authenticator app.
Scan the new code
A fresh QR code appears. Scan it with your new authenticator app, or enter the secret key manually, then verify with a 6-digit code to finish.
Disable two-factor authentication
Start
Select Disable MFA.
Confirm with a code
Enter the current 6-digit code from your authenticator app, then confirm. 2FA is removed and future sign-ins only need your password.
Both reconfiguring and disabling require a working code from your current authenticator app. If you've lost access to it and are locked out, follow the account recovery steps.
